valves

1.The brief introduction of what are valves?

(1).Valves are pipeline accessories used to open and close the pipeline, control the flow direction, regulating and control the parameters (temperature, pressure, velocity and flow) of the transmission medium.

(2).The valve is the control part of the fluid conveying system, which has the functions of cut-off, regulation, diversion, prevention of countercurrent, stabilization, diversion or overflow.

2.How many do the valves have?-by their function

(1).Block valve are mainly used for cutting off or connection of media flow. (such as, gate valve, stop valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, swing check, plug valve.

(2).Check valves are used to prevent backflow of media.

(3).Regulating valve: regulating the pressure and flow of medium(pressure reducing valve, pressure regulating valve, choke valve)

(4).Safety valve: when the medium pressure exceeds the specified value, it is used to discharge redundant medium to ensure the safety of pipeline system and equipment.

(5).Distribution valve: change the flow direction of media. (TEE cock, distribution valve, etc.)

(6).Special valves: drain valve, vent valve,blowdown valves, etc

by their working nominal pressure

Vacuum valve: valve with working pressure lower than standard atmospheric pressure;

Low pressure valve: PN≤ 0 ~ 1.6Mpa;

Medium pressure valve: PN 2.5-6.4mpa;

High pressure valve: PN 10 ~ 80MPa;

Ultra high pressure valve: PN≥ 100MPa.

by medium operating temperature:

High temperature valve: working temperature ≥ 450 ℃;

Medium temperature valve:  120 ℃ ≤ working temperature < 450 ℃;

Normal temperature valve: – 40 ℃ < working temperature< 120 ℃;

Low temperature valve:  -100 ℃ <working temperature <40 ℃;

Ultra low temperature valve: working temperature<- 100 ℃.

by application medium :

according to the requirements of valve material and structure, the applicable medium of the valve is as follows:

Gas medium, such as air, steam, nitrogen and natural gas, etc;

Liquid media, such as oil, water, etc;

Containing solid medium;
